About Deuce Films

Deuce Films was founded in 2007 combining the talents of BBC documentary filmmaker Rob Ryan and Walt Disney Executive James Neal. The aim of Deuce Films is to create content that marry the world of popular culture with adventure and aspiration. Their first commission was critically acclaimed BBC TWO feature documentary Sprint (1 x 90 min, 2008). Shot over two years, it followed four young British sprinters on their quest for Olympic glory.

Their first foray into Factual-Entertainment was Slips (8 x 30 min, 2009) for MTV Networks International. Think Fast and the Furious meets Grand Theft Auto. The series takes two wanna-be boy/girl racers with their bangers, which the Slips team turns into street racing monsters. The contestants then race their cars around the Slips track. The catch is... You lose the race... you lose your car. Two drive in... one walks home!

Fronted by outrageous, Huey Morgan from the Fun Loving Criminals, shot in a cinematic style with a contemporary urban soundtrack, Slips delivered a visceral experience like no other. Slips clearly delivered in attracting MTV's core 16-24 year old Slips averaged 33% above slot across the channel and pulled in a huge audience of 2.7 million viewers across the series, making it the second highest rating show on the network (after the Hills). Slips season one has launched on all MTV Networks around the world in March 2010 and Deuce Films are currently in Pre-Production on season two.
